This year Oppo returns with its new Reno range and has designed three smartphones: the Oppo Reno 8 Lite, the Reno 8 and 8 Pro. The latter is the most successful model of the 8 series, and comes to offer a premium experience without exceeding 1,000 euros. It makes a good case for appeal, especially now that it’s trading nearly 20% off.

Where to buy
Oppo Reno 8 Pro at the best price?
An attractive smartphone
The Oppo Reno 8 Pro stands out from the classic version with its particularly attractive design. We discover a monocoque back in forged glass with a very pretty glossy finish, which undeniably takes fingerprints. The finishes of the phone are very good, and the grip is pleasant in particular thanks to the straight edges present on all the edges.
On the front, we are left with a beautiful 6.7-inch screen with relatively thin borders. The Reno 8 Pro has an AMOLED panel with FHD+ definition, and offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz which makes navigation much smoother. In addition, the latter ensures very good image quality thanks to HDR10+ compatibility.
But also effective and enduring
On the performance side, the 8 Pro relies on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100-Max chip with 8GB of RAM. This configuration is not only optimized for 5G, but it offers a smooth everyday experience devoid of slowdown. However, in the face of competition, the telephone is less efficient on one point. Indeed, it has some difficulty in running 3D games in the best graphic conditions. The phone is still fluid, thanks to the ColorOS interface under Android 12.
Autonomy is also guaranteed on this smartphone. It can last a day and a half without worry, but above all you can count on the 80W fast charge. Thanks to this, it only takes about 35 minutes to fully charge the Reno 8 Pro.
Finally for the photo part, the Pro version offers beautiful shots thanks to the main sensor, even if it has trouble managing the bass in scenes with a large dynamic range. Faced with the competition, the ultra wide-angle is limited, as is the interest of the macro sensor and the rather disappointing night mode, which does not add much to the rather proven basic low-light experience.
