The IGN company has just made available unpublished aerial photos taken just after the flood of March 3, 1930 which had hit the districts of Sapiac, Villebourbon, Pouty and Gasseras hard. We then deplored 29 deaths. It was Jérôme Amposta, from the association Ça monte en bas de Villebourbon, who shared these photos on Facebook, which are accessible on the IGN website.
We do not know if these photos were taken by plane or balloon, but their quality is stunning. broadcast on Facebook, they have been seen many times, whether to maintain the duty of memory or more prosaically to see a house.
In a recent work by the CIAP on Villebourbon, a few photos evoked the floods, but they focused above all on showing the reconstruction of the district.
