You may not have missed it if you recently invested in an Oppo smartphone: ColorOS 13, the Chinese proprietary overlay, is available. And for the publisher, this is the first time that the software has been deployed so quickly. Today, no less than thirty-three devices are thus compatible, not to mention the fact that certain flagships such as the excellent Find N2 Flip foldable natively embed the operating system. But that’s not all, since another announcement from Oppo just published ensures that updates will now be supported much longer.
Indeed, the manufacturer explains in a press release that its premium mobile phones will now be entitled, for sure, to four new major versions of ColorOS after their release. And for security updates, it will be up to five years of support. Only downside: not all models are affected and the list of happy elected officials is not communicated at all for the moment. Moreover, we do not even know if this will be the case one day.
ColorOS 13, one of the most popular overlays for the general public
Some of the key new features of ColorOS 13 include Multi-screen connection which turns out to be a real asset for multitasking. Here, the developer offers us to deport the screen of the mobile on a computer to be able to control it with the mouse. Better still: it is not only possible to display a streaming of the slab in real time, but in addition the procedure can be duplicated. As you can see in the screenshot below, the concept is particularly powerful and allows you to consult information in a first window while taking notes in a second.

With this, ColorOS 13 also brings to Oppo mobiles the possibility of creating larger app folders on the home screen, for better day-to-day organization. Another advantage: icons with a revisited and more refined design, which are even more pleasing to the eyes of the user.
The Find X6 Pro in the viewfinder
Among the mobiles that are likely to be endowed with these advantages, we can of course mention the Find X5 Pro, current number one in the Oppo collection. But not only, since his successor, the supposed Find X6 Pro, is very likely in the cards at the time of writing these lines. We know very little about the beast, but it could see the light of day around March if Oppo does not change its habits.
Consumers would then be entitled to three fifty-megapixel photo sensors, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and a large 6.7-inch screen with an adaptive refresh rate of one hundred and twenty frames per second.
