No foldable smartphone at Apple? Samsung mocks the apple

France is (still) in the final of the Football World Cup. The event, which brings together millions of viewers all around the globe, is a perfect opportunity for advertisers to showcase their products. This year, Samsung is taking the opportunity to promote one of its flagship smartphones, namely the Galaxy ZFlip 4. If this name means nothing to you, know that this is one of the best foldable mobiles of the moment. The screen is concave with a hinge in the width, offering a compact format very practical in transport. When the user has more space, he can then take advantage of a 6.7-inch panel similar in size to that of an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Except that at Apple… No foldable mobile phone for the moment. And that is precisely what Samsung is tackling in a new publicity broadcast during the international competition. The spot was notably seen in China. Judge for yourself with the video below.

A prototype is in the boxes

And yet: Samsung seems to ignore it, but Apple is indeed preparing a foldable smartphone. So certainly, for the moment, it is not a product available on the market. Nevertheless, several patents deposited by the firm with three trillion dollars of capitalization prove to us that it masters the associated technology rather well. It is of course not the only one to tackle it: LG, Xiaomi, Motorola or even Oppo already offers clamshell mobile solutions.

The public is still very far from any official announcement from Apple. We know in fact that society retains the secret on his project, as is also the case for the plans for his possibly autonomous and electric car. Besides, even the pickiest analysts don’t all agree on the potential release date of a foldable iPhone….

The Z Flip 4, a worthy alternative to the competition?

With its Galaxy Z Flip 4, Samsung offers us a premium smartphone with an unfolded 6.7-inch screen, but also covered with a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus. Either a signed protection Corning and that we also find on iPhone, dedicated to fight against scratches of all kinds. With this, the phone is also water resistant, but to a different degree.

Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip from Qualcomm engraved with a precision of four nanometers. But this seems to be no match for the A16 Bionic processor of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, as if tending to prove certain recent benchmarks.
