Meta is testing a feature to make it easier to switch accounts between Facebook and Instagram

Meta Group – formerly Facebook – is currently testing a feature to make it easier to switch accounts between Facebook and Instagram apps. It will also be easier to create an account or profile.

Users with multiple profiles — personal and business — often switch their different accounts between Facebook and Instagram. They will soon be able to do this more easily because the Meta group is testing a dedicated feature for this, on both platforms.

Switch accounts more easily

“We are introducing new features that disable creation, toggling and notifications for multiple profiles on Facebook and Instagram” announced the Meta Group. In a blog note, the latter first presents a new interface, which will make it easier to switch profiles and track notifications between Facebook and Instagram.

Users can easily switch between their different profiles on both social networks, if they have added them to the same “Account Center”, says Meta. In addition, they will now be able to see their Facebook and Instagram profiles in one place.

Notifications, meanwhile, will also be conveniently displayed for each profile, making it easy to track user activity across both platforms.

For now, this feature is tested globally on iOS, Android and the web version.

It will be easier to create an account or profile

Additionally, Meta announced that it will make it easier to create new accounts and profiles on Facebook and Instagram.

“We are also introducing a new account registration and login flow that will make it easier for users to log in and create new accounts on Facebook and Instagram” explains the band in their blog post.

This feature is also in testing globally, on iOS and Android.
