Haute-Savoie. Why is a large part of the Semnoz ski resort closed?

Semnoz ski resort (Haute-Savoie) near d’Annecy, announced the almost complete closure of its domain, in a press release published on Facebook, Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

The reason for this decision is the lack of snow on the territory. Only the “Baby” alpine ski slope will be able to accommodate skiers.

No cross-country skiing

” L’ESF Annecy Semnoz will therefore be able to provide all lessons up to the first star” and “the restaurants of the resort remain open” indicates the ski resort.

Cross-country ski trails and Nordic chalets are closed for the moment.

“It is no longer possible to go cross-country skiing, to rent snowshoes or sledges and the toboggan mat will no longer work” according to Semnoz.
