If the top of the range will be refreshed after four years of good and loyal service, it seems unlikely that Apple will already modify the Studio Display which has not even celebrated its first candle yet. However, in October, Ross Young, a consultant in the display industry, said that Apple plans to launch a new monitor with a 27-inch mini-LED display in the first quarter of 2023. Based on these specifications, it is possible that this monitor is a new Studio Display with ProMotion 120 Hz technology. This rumor had already been mentioned a few months before.

Presented at the same time as the Mac Studio in March, the Studio Display is available from 1749 euros. It features a 27-inch display with 5K resolution and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The more premium Pro Display XDR starts at $5,499 and comes with a 32-inch screen with 6K resolution, but it doesn’t have a camera for video conferencing.
